نوشتن بیوگرافی به معنای نوشتن زندگی نامه خود است. هدف از این نوشته، نگارش یک بیوگرافی است که بتواند حسی خوب در اولین برخورد ایجاد کند. سه هدف اصلی که در نگارش بیوگرافی باید به دنبال آن باشیم.

1-رعایت نکات ادبی

2-استفاده از کلمات و کالکیشن های مناسب

3-جلوگیری از خطاهای رایج

Kenneth Stafford is a lecturer in the Department of Logic & Metaphysics. His main research interests are in the philosophy of logic, the philosophy of language, and epistemology. He is particularly interested in issues concerning modality. Kenneth is a Research Fellow of Arché (Centre for the Philosophy of Logic, Language, Mathematics & Mind) and Reviews Editor of the British Journal for the Philosophy of Science. He is currently leading a research project on the metaphysics and epistemology of modality. Kenneth studied philosophy at Cambridge and then completed an MPhii and a PhD in philosophy at St Andrews. After spending a term as a visiting fellow in the Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science at the University of California, he joined the Department of Logic & Metaphysics in September 2000. He is presently writing a book on modal epistemology, co-authored with David Martin of the University of Durham. Kenneth’s other research work concerns the philosophy of mathematics. He has published numerous articles on the epistemology of mathematical structuralism

Natasha Finch is a research assistant at the Center for Public Policy. Her main research interests are in economic policy and organisational culture. She is currently working on a PhD thesis on the role of incentives in the public sector. Central to her research is the question of how incentives for public sector workers may differ from those in the private sector. The research is supervised by Professor Robert Duncan.

مثال سوم:

Stella Wilde first studied law at the University of Reading. After graduating, she practiced law in London and Edinburgh, specialising in corporate liability. She then studied at Balliol College, Oxford, where she received a BCL degree and completed her doctorate on “Occupational Health and Safety Law in the UK. She has been a lecturer at the University of Bristol since 1995.

Her research interests and publication lie in the field of Health and Safety law and Labour Law. She has contributed articles to International Journal of Comparative Labour Law and Industrial Relations, Journal of Occupational Safety and Health, and the Industrial Law Journal. She is Director of the Occupational Health and Safety Unit within the Socio-Legal Research Centre.

مثال چهارم:

I have been a member of the Department since 1999. My teaching is focused on Theories of Learning and Department at undergraduate and Master’s level. My research interests include curriculum development and teacher professional development. I supervise a number of MPhil/PhD studies, largely in the field of mathematics education. I am currently co-organising the Mathematics Teaching Conference.

 

حال چندین نکته با توجه به مثال های بالا با هم مرور می کنیم

1-اگر چه در مثال 4 از اول شخص استفاده شده است اما اغلب پروفایل ها و بیوگرافی ها به صورت سوم شخص است. در جمله اول نام فرد به صورت کامل(نان و نام خانوادگی) و در جملات بعدی صرفا نام فرد آورده می شود. به مثال اول توجه کنید در جمله اول ….Kenneth Stafford is ولی در ادامه متن از ساختارهای مشابه Kenneth studied استفاده کرده است.

2-سعی شود که حقایق نوشته شود و و اغراق در نوشتن بیوگرافی به کار گرفته نشود. با وجود این که معمولا جملات بیوگرافی به زبان سوم شخص نوشته می شود اما همه میدانند که این جملات را خود شما نوشته اید.

3-برای راحتی در خواندن بیوگرافی ترتیب کارها رعایت شود و از ساختارهای مشابه زیر استفاده نشود.

For three years he was Visiting Professor at … The year before that he was a temporary at… Before that, he was a PhD student in…

4- نوشتن بیوگرافی برای استفاده در مقالات و کنفرانس ها صرفا بخش های ضروری بیوگرافی را شامل می شود و فرمی رسمی تر و منحصرا سوم شخص استفاده می شود.

5-چندین اطلاعات را در یک جمله بنویسید.

For the past ten years, he has been involved in mathematics education, obtaining a PhD from the University of Sheffield before coming to Oxford in 2001, where he is a fellow of Exeter College.

در نوشتن بیوگرافی باید به سه نکته توجه شود 1- از سوم شخص برای بیان بیان جملات استفاده شود. 2- ساختار بیوگرافی شامل دو قسمت می شود در قسمت اول تحصیلات و موقعیت خودمان را مطرح می کنیم و در قسمت دوم به علایق تحقیقاتی، مقالات منتشر شده و پروژه ها اشاره می کنیم. 3- متن بیوگرافی باید رسمی و واقعی باشد.

معمولا دو مشکل در نوشتن بیوگرافی وجود دارد

1- زمان مورد استفاده: 

الف)زمان گذشته یا حال حال کامل

ب)فرم ساده یا progressive

2-ترمونولوژی(اصطلاحات) دانشگاهی

 

1-She joined/ has joined the University of Wolverhampton in 2005.

2- Since joining the department in 1998, Rebecca Kendall is involved/ has been involved in developing …

3- Between 1997 and 2000, she worked/ has worked as a Development Associate.

4- She was/ has been an educational researcher for the past 7 years.

 

 زمان گذشته(past tense): زمان مشخصی در گذشته در جمله 1 نوشته بود In 2005 و یا در جمله 3 نوشته بود Between 1997 and 2000.

زمان حال کامل(ماضی نقلی-present perfect): تا حالا در جمله 2 عبارت since joining و در جمله 4 نوشته بود for the past 7 year به معنای 7 سال اخیر

در حالت هایی که کاری تکمیل نشده است مانند جمله 5 که از currently استفاده کرده است یا جملاتی که به روند(Trend) چیزی اشاره دارند از فرم های progressive استفاده می شود. مثالی در مورد ترند

استفاده از حروف بزرگ(Capital)

 

در موارد زیر تنها حرف اول کلمه بزرگ نوشته می شود(Upper case)

-عناوین مدارک رسمی مثلا  Master’s degree”

-نام دانشگاه ها و انستیوها یا موسسات (names of universities and other higher education institutions)

-نام درس ها و دوره ها (Course names)

-عناوین پایان نامه (Thesis titles)

 

در حالت های زیر از حروف کوچک استفاده می شود(Lower case)

 

حوزه هاو رشته های تحقیقاتی و آکادمیک (Academic disiplines)

حوزه مطالعه( Fields of study/topic)

 

استفاده از حروف بزرگ را در مثال های زیر با هم میبینیم

13-The School of Biological Sciences offers courses in ecology, biology and conservation.

14-To study for the Master of Mathematics programme, you should have studied mathematics to at least A level.

15-She holds a Master of Chemistry degree from the University of Oxford.

16-She is completing a PhD in chemistry. (= the field of chemistry)

17-The title of my thesis is ‘State Responsibility for Global Risks in International Law’.

 

به مثال 15 و 16 یکبار دیگر نگاه کنید. در جمله 15 chemistry بخشی از یک عنوان دانشگاهی هست لذا به صورت upper case به کار میرود در حالی که در جمله 16 chemistry به عنوان یک رشته و یک حوزه مطالعاتی می باشد لذا از lower case استفاده می شود.

 به عنوان یک تمرین میتوانیم به بررسی بیوگرافی افراد معروف حوزه خودمان بپردازیم.
